HBO MAX DIGITAL LAUNCH

When Warner Media set out to celebrate the launch of HBO Max, they envisioned a large-scale immersive event for employees. But with the pandemic disrupting live gatherings, we had to quickly reimagine the experience; and deliver it on an accelerated timeline.
 

What resulted was a multi-faceted digital event hub that brought the magic of HBO Max directly to employees around the globe. Hosted on a fully customized website, the experience featured:
 

  • Inspiring keynotes from showrunners and executives, bringing employees closer to the creative vision.

  • Interactive HBO Max trivia with real-time leaderboards and prizing; with every round of play raising donations for charities

  • Personalized photo filters featuring beloved HBO Max characters, perfect for social sharing.

  • Custom character avatars for video conferences, letting employees bring HBO Max to their meetings.

  • Exclusive behind-the-scenes content, giving employees early access to the stories behind the shows.
     

By going fully digital, we not only overcame the constraints of the pandemic but expanded the event’s reach, engaging employees worldwide. We were able to triple the projected engagement numbers, global participation, and create a powerful sense of connection during a time of distance.
